Odore Scola offers the chance to learn the basics of perfumery by taking part in perfume creation workshops. Once you've purchased a perfume creation kit, you can book a workshop on the Odore Scola website. A videoconference workshop is offered to the general public, in small groups. It can be privatized, in individual or team-building format, for a special occasion or simply for pleasure, to be guided as if in an olfactory laboratory to the initiation of the world of perfume. Workshops can be held remotely, but any face-to-face format is conceivable (request a quote by e-mail).

Are perfume creation workshops suitable for all ages?
French perfumery, with its origins deeply rooted in the history of Montpellier's famous master perfumers and apothecaries, embodies a world where the art of perfume is passed down from generation to generation. It is in this tradition that the workshops to discover the making of a perfume were created, and are suitable for all ages from 6 upwards. Why 6 years old? It's all about dexterity, especially when it comes to handling droppers.
These videoconference workshops, rather than perfume creation courses, will raise awareness of perfume, giving free rein to olfactory creativity in mixing fragrance essences and assembling perfume ingredients.
How does the perfume creation workshop work?
Perfumers from Odore Scola will be guides in the introduction to perfumery. The workshop will take place in several stages to discover perfumery know-how. The first part will be dedicated to discovering the olfactory notes of the different perfume compositions presented in the box. This will be a time for exchanging ideas on the different perfume accords and the perfume raw materials used to create fragrances, so as to recognize the essences present in the bases.
The second part will be dedicated to the discovery of the perfumer's path through the creation of harmonic perfume compositions. Learn and understand how to create your own perfume, a perfume that will not be natural, but as eco-responsible as possible.
The olfactory expertise of master perfumers will enable each and every one of us to learn the techniques of perfume creation. Once the creation has been finalized, a small 5ml bottle can be filled with the unique, hand-crafted perfume created to scent the sofa, fabrics or bedroom.
Following this perfuming session, starter-kits and large-format flasks of the bases contained in the workshop box will enable you to recreate your favorite composition ad infinitum.
