inspiration

Eau Simple du Jardin

Created around 1370, Eau de la Reine de Hongrie is the first alcohol-based perfume in history

This Montpellier Rosemary alcoholate, a precious beauty elixir with a thousand virtues, was highly appreciated over the centuries. Whether by King Charles V in the 14th century, or at the court of Versailles under Louis XIV in the 17th century, its success continued until the 18th century. It was then gradually replaced by another famous water, Eau de Cologne.

In 1693 Simon Barbe wrote: "The Queen of Hungary's water can only be made as good as in Montpellier; because they make it with the rosemary flowers that they have in abundance; but however the one we make with the leaves is very good and has the same virtue"

The oldest Jardin des Plantes in France created in 1593 in Montpellier dedicates a botanical square to "Simples", aromatic plants studied for their therapeutic properties.

Jean Louis Fargeon, the famous perfumer of Marie Antoinette, born in Montpellier, published in 1801 the book "The Art of the Perfumer" where we discover the recipes of his "Eaux Simples".

Montpellier perfumer, Odore Scola was inspired by the history of his city and the history of perfumery to create this iodized aromatic bouquet around Rosemary, a simple, an emblematic plant of the history of Montpellier's heritage.

ritual

Put on some perfume

A body perfume is a real personal olfactory signature, a unique and personal identity trail. The ritual of applying perfume is different for everyone, depending on their preferences, habits, tips or even desires.

Some prefer to perfume their clothes because they impregnate the odors for a very long time.

Others prefer to perfume themselves "directly" on the skin.

It is nevertheless advisable to spray your perfume from about 20 cm, in this way you will cover a wider diffusion area while maintaining a good hold.

Some areas allow a more intense diffusion. These are the pulse points, places where the body gives off more heat and therefore a better diffusion of the perfume (inside the wrists, behind the ears, on the neck, on the chest).

Applying perfume after the shower, before a special outing or simply to feel good is a special moment of the day.
