mint eau de cologne
eau de cologne.
Odore Scola rethinks cologne in a modern and unique way. Fall for the fresh, light, invigorating and soothing Ecusson Colognes.
Perfect mix between noble raw materials and an alcohol of natural origin, they are produced in our workshop located in Montpellier.
usage tips
Incorporate Ecusson Cologne into your well-being ritual after showering for deliciously scented skin for the whole day.
Did you know that if we perceive it today "simply" as a light perfume, at the end of the 17th century it was considered a miracle cure, it was renowned for its therapeutic virtues and was even recognized by the Academy of Medicine in 1727 as a beneficial product for health
The ritual for wearing perfume is different for everyone, depending on their preferences, habits and tips. Some prefer to perfume their clothes and others directly on the skin.
On the skin, areas allow more intense diffusion. These are the pulsation points, places where the body releases more heat and therefore better diffusion of perfume (inside the wrists, behind the ears, on the back of the neck, on the chest).
Its large 250 ml format will allow you to refill your Cologne Nomade in order to take it everywhere with you.

Mint eau de Cologne
Eau de Cologne and Eau Fraiche are light, refreshing fragrances that have been appreciated for centuries for their delicate, refreshing notes. Their composition and use vary, but both share a long history of elegance and refinement.
L'eau de Cologne, often simply called Cologne, is a classic, elegant perfume, its name referring to the city of Cologne, where it is said to have been created in the early 18th century by an Italian perfumer. Cologne is distinguished by its fresh citrus notes, such as lemon, bergamot and orange, combined with aromatic notes such as lavender and rosemary. Eau de Cologne is often used as a light, revitalizing daily fragrance.
Eaux fraiches are perfumes similar to eau de Cologne, with a more modern name, and a composition characterized by a low concentration of ingredients in alcohol, to support the light, airy facets. They are often formulated with a lower concentration of essential oils and less alcohol, making them ideal for use in summer or in environments where a subtle fragrance is preferred. Fresh waters can feature a wider variety of notes, from citrus to herbaceous mint to delicate florals, offering a range of fragrances suited to different tastes and occasions. They are often appreciated for their ability to revitalize and invigorate the senses, while leaving a light, discreet imprint. They can be masculine, feminine or gender-neutral, for a fresh minty sensation. Although colognes may originally have been edible, we now speak of perfume, and the term borrowed from food aromatics cannot be used, so it would be wrong to speak of mint aroma, natural mint aroma, fresh mint aroma, refreshing mint aroma, subtle mint aroma, to describe a fresh mint cologne.
The composition of eaux de Cologne is very diverse, often incorporating natural extracts or essential oils of citrus fruits, lemon, orange, bergamot, mandarin and, more recently, yuzu. To reinforce the lightness of this type of fragrance, while maintaining a natural spirit, the combination of mint floral accords, mint floral bouquets, mint woody notes or simply mint plant essence or mint essential oil is proposed, making it possible to create very refreshing mint eaux de toilette. Such is the case with Cologne Les Gondoles de Délos ODORE SCOLA, an invigorating mint fragrance with green notes and a heart of fresh mint, tonka and vetiver essences. This fresh mint olfactory creation appeals both as a men's mint Cologne and as a women's mint fragrance.
Defining mint scents isn't that easy! In fact, there are several natural ingredients extracted from different varieties of mint, also known as chemotypicity, a terminology widely used in refreshing mint aromatherapy. The best-known olfactory typicity is linked to the botanical species, which can be spearmint or fresh mint. Fragrant spearmint or spearmint will have a predominantly carvone extract, falsely named chlorophyll scent. Its essential oil is found in sweet mint cologne and herbaceous mint scents, while fresh mint (peppermint, field mint) gives rise to menthol-rich essential oils and hydrolats, for mint tonic fragrances, a mentholated scent, or even an icy mint fragrance. But there's also a lemon mint rich in linalyl acetate and linalool, molecules very present in aromatic plants like fine lavender and/or bergamot, an essential oil rather formulated in Mediterranean mint scents for its minty aromatic notes. These essential oils are all used for mint perfume compositions, natural mint cologne, mint eau parfumée, but also more simply for mint room sprays, mint ice sprays, peppermint sprays, from handcrafted mint creations, or even also for creating mint perfume compositions for mint scented candles. If the perfume formulation is made from natural organic ingredients, an organic mint perfume could also be produced.
What are the benefits of mint cologne for the skin?
Eau de Cologne with the relaxing scent of mint offers several benefits due to the well-documented refreshing and soothing properties of mint essential oils and their main compounds. As we explained above it all depends on which mint essential oil is used, with lemon mint not at all having the same characteristics as a menthol or carvone mint.
A refreshing scent
A menthol-rich mint-scented bouquet provides an immediate sensation of freshness when applied to the skin, which can be particularly invigorating in hot weather or after physical activity.
Soothing properties
If colognes were originally so many elixirs or miracle cures, today we need to make a clear distinction between the field of perfumes and that of medicines. While perfumes are defined as cosmetics, they are regulated differently. Mint perfumes, and therefore Eau de Cologne, do not contain any active ingredients that could be claimed to have “soothing properties”. In the case of mint colognes, the presence of mint extracts can only be associated with a soothing mint sensation, so we can't talk about mint aromatherapy. To soothe skin irritations, we'll have to turn to active cosmetics with ingredients that are claimed and, legally speaking, well identified.
An antiseptic effect
The same applies to the antiseptic effect, which is more the domain of medical devices or parapharmacy products.
Can you use mint cologne as a daily perfume?
Of course you can! A mint Eau de Cologne like can be used as a daily perfume if you like its sweet mint notes and if it suits our personal style. Mint fragrances often have an invigorating freshness that can be very pleasant, especially in hot weather or for a boost of freshness.
How to apply mint cologne correctly?
The most common places to apply cologne with your mint pocket spray are pulse points, such as the wrists, neck, behind the ears and on the chest. These areas produce body heat, which can help diffuse the fragrance.
How to use mint cologne for a home interior?
Mint Eau de Cologne for body use can also be diverted from their original application to scent a home interior. This can be done by spraying with a mint spray, or by applying to pebbles for the home or linen.
